Wildlife Photography Experience - Choose Your Activity Level

A flexible, beginner-friendly wildlife photography session designed for anyone.

 

From those who prefer to stay seated the entire time to those who want a light walk through local habitats. You select the activity level that fits your comfort:

Seated Session: Remain in one spot for the full experience 

Easy Walk: Slow-paced movement on trails or paved ground, short distances.

Moderate Walk: Continuous movement with light trail terrain.

 

Duration: 2–3 hours


Location: Petawawa, Pembroke, and surrounding Ottawa Valley areas
(Winter sessions are held only at Pembroke Marina for safety - minimal movement, sheltered area, reliable gull activity, and focus on camera basics.)

What’s Included
1. Camera Provided

A fully set-up camera is provided for the entire session. No equipment or experience needed.

2. Field Instruction (Beginner-Friendly)

Composition fundamentals

Wildlife behaviour basics

Exposure, focus, and camera settings

How to track, anticipate movement, and work with available light

3. Photography Time in the Field

Guided shooting with on-the-spot coaching based on your chosen activity level, whether seated or walking.

4. 30-Minute Post-Processing Session

Immediately after the outing, you’ll review images together on a provided laptop:

Basic Lightroom workflow

File selection

Starter editing techniques you can replicate at home

All images are provided to you at the end in RAW, JPEG, or both, depending on your preference

 

All photos from the session (RAW + JPEG on USB or cloud transfer)

Optional add-ons:

Extended field time

Printed photos & Framed photos (various sizes available)

Frame your own prints
